It has been little over two months before I posted anything… I’m really sorry for the inactivity! Much has happened until now, and I’m going to cover the basics. So first I’ve finished the course “introduction to game design and game analysis” which was indeed a fun course. In the end it got stressful and hectic with the final game project, but my group finished making the space shooter game based on the two words thoughtless and badger! I would say we got minor “complainments” overall from the feedback panel but something that wasn’t stressed enough was that the game’s difficulty level wasn’t challenging enough: they said it was too simple to play and I can somewhat agree with that. But the game was solid and approved so it was always nice to hear that. By the way the game’s official name is Bloody Badgers and to be honest I wanted to go with a more “non-violent” approach with the title Bad Badgers instead but it was my group’s decision fair and square. Nevertheless, basically you’re a guy in an underground cave with nothing but a shovel in hand to escape a horde of angry badgers that follows you. You have to dig in order to survive and find the cave exit before the badgers close in on you! The game also has power-ups and an arrow showing you to the exit to name a few. I’m pretty content with that game regardless even though not every idea you have will gets approved, but that’s how it is; you’re a group and should create the game together by discussing and brainstorming.
