Fantasy Roleplay Race Sheets
|
Over at http://d6dev.blogspot.se/ a friend of mine has been blogging his development of a roleplaying game and its setting since a few other friends and I bugged him to do so. And some time after he began doing that I wanted to take the task of illustrating all the races that his setting had. I felt it was going to be a good exercise in character construction and anatomy. But then I realized there were like twenty different races in his world and I just figured that there is no way I can work on twenty races, school and my portfolio at the same time, even if these races were technically portfolio work. So I just stuck with the three original races, Azur, Ifrits and Humies. The Azur were the first I began drawing which is kind of easy to tell. The rendering is a bit rough and the anatomy is kind of off; the legs are just incredibly long and the abdominal muscles don’t look quite alright. Nonetheless, the design idea was based around the fact that the Azur were a seafaring people so I figured that slightly longer arms could be an appropriate feature. After all, it’s easier to grab a man overboard if you can reach him.The Humies were the second I drew and I just decided that I was going to do all I could to improve upon my previous work on the Azur. Honestly, I think this is some of the best rendering I’ve ever done. Agreed, |
