Paper Prototype

This Monday my group and I started working on a paper prototype for our shoot em up.
In the first version of our game we tried to make the prototype turn-based, where the player was supposed to kill the enemies who were controlled by random (We used Random.org) movements and predetermined actions. This didn’t work out very well so we scrapped that Idea. Then, this Tuesday we used a battle-ship like system. This worked much better, the only problem was that a sort of “game-master” was needed to keep track of everything. Oh and we needed three times as many pieces.

I think that our Idea is pretty good, the biggest concern yet is that it is possible that we’ve moved a bit too far away from the shooting aspect of a shoot ‘em up.

Then I took some time to remake an clean up some of Ladbons mechanic-visualizations in Photoshop.

That’s pretty much all I’ve done this week. I cant wait until I’m done with the fucking Swedish assignment so I can start to play some Bioshock Infinite.
