Work work work!

I have now moved on from characters to modeling buildings, which is actually more fun and easier than I thought, at least up until now! I have never attempted to create anything but a couple of characters in 3D, so making facades to a city was seen as a real challenge. I’m very glad that it wasn’t as diffucult as I first thought. I usually rush into things when painting or other things that I feel comfortable with, but since I now knew in advance that this wasn’t my strongest side, I spent a lot of time thinking and planning exactly where I would need edges and such on my 3D model. This made the process a lot easier and I did not have to start over or spend a lot of time fixing errors. As for the groups process I think we are doing well, it at least seems like everyone is on track and doing what they should, which makes me happy. But I do put a lot of trust the Leads in our group, that they know exactly who does what and when everything needs to be done. Of course I’m not completely oblivious to what the others are doing, but I’m not supposed to be in a position where it’s my responsibility to make sure everyone has work to do. Anyhow, this week we will get all the characters done and also at least a couple of walls to the buildings which I’m excited to see in game next week. Then it’s texturing time, yaay! |
